Stridentism was an art movement that emerged in Mexico in 1921 and that was headed by the poet Manuel Maples Arce; he was influenced by a real multidisciplinary cultural front made of writers, painters and artists. This work provides the reader an overview of the movement which covers from the currents that influenced him, to the modern tributes to his legacy, emphasizing his most iconic figures. Thus, this book represents a broad historical overview of the Stridentist avant-garde movement, and the cultural context around its emergence and fading.
