Marshall Sahlins
This work gather two fundamental Marshall Sahlins articles. The first, The Western Illusion of Human Nature, deals with western notions on nature and culture, taking a reflection about the Western origins and concluding that its society is based on a perverse idea of human nature, that ignore the true universal character of society. The second article, What is Anthropological Enlighten? analyzes concepts such as illustration, modernity, and culture in western society, relating them with distinct forms of being, acting and thinking in societies different from the western.
