ITO. OGAWA
Life is peaceful in Kamakura. Friends and neighbors flock to Hatoko's small stationery store, the family business she took over some time ago and where she continues as a scribe. Between the brushstrokes of the letters she receives, the most unexpected and poignant destinies of her customers intersect. Everything seems the same, but Hatoko has married and, together with Mitsuro, who has a young daughter, is learning to be a mother in an unconventional family. She teaches the girl the art of calligraphy, just as her grandmother did, and shares recipes for all kinds of sweets and traditional dishes. In this way, they forge a unique relationship together, capable of creating a new home where the wounds of the past can be healed.
