Eccehomo Almanza -or Cheché, as he prefers- is a teenager who lives in Manizales, he can't stand his father, a Gothic admirer of Laureano Gómez; he adores his sister Antonieta, admires his revolutionary brother León and hardly gets along with his younger brother. He feels that he doesn't know anything yet, but he wants to learn everything: study law, start the revolution, lose his virginity. He feels that it is time to change, that his family cannot continue the same, that the country deserves a different destiny.
