Francis Bacon
After sailing hopeless and tired of begging to God for a miracle, a group of men arrive to an island where they receive a negative to their imminent landing in a scroll, written in ancient Hebrew and Greek, scholastic Latin, and Spanish. However, after swearing by God that in a period of 40 days, they hadn't murdered anyone and they were Christian, they were accepted as guests in the City, not without having time and the necessary remedies offered to heal the sick. A few days past and they healed the sick and got to know the city. The priest told them everything about the city, of the assignment they were given by God to improve the human condition as much as they could in their society. The story finishes with a catalogue of the sciences created in New Atlantida.
